Vijay Kanishka (born October 14, 1995) is a Tamil actor making his debut through the film Hitlist, produced by director K. S. Ravikumar. He is the son of director Vikraman and Kuchipudi dancer Jayapriya.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Vijay Kanishka was born on October 14, 1995, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to director Vikraman and Kuchipudi dancer Jayapriya. Growing up in an artistic family, his interests were always inclined towards cinema. He completed his school education at Lady Andal, Chennai, and received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from SRM Easwari Engineering College, Chennai. He has a younger sister, Pooja Prathyusha.

After graduating, Vijay Kanishka took professional acting classes from S. S. Kalairani, a prominent Koothu Pattrai theatre actor. He also learned dancing from Sridhar Master and stunts from Power Pandi Master.

Debut and Recent Work[edit]

Vijay Kanishka's professional acting career began in 2022 with his debut film Hitlist, produced by R. K. Celluloids and directed by K. S. Ravikumar. The movie is expected to be released at the end of 2023.

Personal Life[edit]

Vijay Kanishka is the son of renowned director Vikraman and Jayapriya, a Kuchipudi dancer. He has a younger sister, Pooja Prathyusha.
