History

[edit]

vivenu GmbH is a software company that provides primary ticketing capabilities for event organizers worldwide. vivenu was founded by Simon Hennes, Jens Teichert, and Simon Weber in 2018 [1][2].

The company’s first office and headquarter opened in 2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and in 2022 the first international office was established in New York City. Currently, vivenu maintains offices in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Darmstadt, Tampa, and New York City[3].

vivenu’s software provides organizers with solutions to cater to a wide range of client categories and events[1]. vivenu’s client base is spread across verticals comprising sport clubs, venues, amusement parks, fairs, festivals[4], conferences, museums, and zoos[5]. Over its lifetime, vivenu has onboarded FC Schalke 04[6][5], The Southland Conference[7], Stanford Athletics[8], and Hockenheim-Ring GmbH[3] as clients.

vivenu advertises itself as a full-service, end-to-end ticketing solution. The company’s service is designed to render full control of the ticket sale process to event organizers[4][9][2]. Some of the properties that partners have made use of are:

Funding

[edit]

Over its lifetime, vivenu has raised a total of $65 million. In March 2020, vivenu GmbH obtained 1.4 million EUR in seed funding.[9][2][10]. This investment came twelve months after the company raised 15 million EUR in Series A financing led by Balderton Capital[4] joined by previous investor and early-stage venture capital investor Redalpine[2]. vivenu is also the first European investment of Aurum Fund LLC, the fund associated with the San Francisco 49ers[10]

In November 2021, vivenu raised €43.6 million ($50 million) in a Series B financing led by investment firm Activant Capital and other unnamed parties.[1]
