[edit]

After graduating from DBA, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business), she entered the film and TV industry in 2005 and co-founded Huanyu Entertainment in 2012. Huanyu Entertainment is a Chinese company that offers a suite of services, including scriptwriting, investment, production, distribution, as well as managing and promoting signed artists.

Yang has produced several projects, including Story of Yanxi Palace (延禧攻略), Winter Begonia (鬓边不是海棠红), Royal Feast (尚食), Delicacies Destiny (珍馐记) , Legacy (传家)Song of Youth (玉楼春)Scent of Time (为有暗香来), and The Double (墨雨云间).   These dramas have piqued public interest of China's traditional cultural stories.[1] Yang has sought to weave intangible cultural heritage into drama stories she produced because she would like young people to learn traditional culture from diversified sources.[2] In November 2023, Yang was appointed as the Ambassador for the Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, in recognition of her efforts in establishing the Film and Television Themed Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum in Hengdian, Zhejiang[3]. She also drove the cross-cultural communication of China’s intangible cultural heritage through international collaborations. “Story of Yanxi Palace”, produced by Yang Le’s company, has been translated into 15 languages and broadcast in more than 100 countries around the world.[4] Another drama produced by Yang, “The Legend of Hao Lan”, was distributed by Fox Networks Group Asia on the FOX TV Channel outside of China.[5] Since then, Yang has partnered with other media groups, including HBO Go[6], and Netflix[7] to distribute Chinese TV dramas.

In December 2017, Yang was recognized at the 2017 edition of China Entertainment Industry Summit as “Innovator of the Year”.[8] She currently serves as Vice President of the Committee for the Promotion of Cooperation in TV Drama and Online Drama Production and Broadcasting, China Television Artists Association.
