Restore deleted page

[edit]

This page previously existed, but was deleted in 2016, apparently due to a copyright violation. It's not clear what specifically about the original page was in breach of copyright, but it looked as though perhaps the illustration may not have been original work. The text of the original page has been restored, but updated with a few more references, and following examples such as Georgia World War II Army Airfields and Idaho World War II Army Airfields. Note that Colorado is the only one of the 48 states (as there were in WWII) which does not have an entry in the United States World War II army airfields category, so having this page missing creates an anomaly. The pages in this category are list pages, generally following a similar pattern (although not with a formal template), and primarily serve as a collection of links to other articles, conveniently gathered in a single page with some additional commentary. These pages generally do not provide references for every individual point of information, as they are collated from several very large public-domain reference works (which are cited in this article). Including every citation from those references would be overkill, but I have included a few examples to demonstrate. Ctgnz (talk) 10:19, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
