The Horse Trough Fountain is a small historic fountain in Portland, Oregon, United States. It is located in the Wilamette Heights neighborhood on the corner of NW Thurman Street and NW 31st Avenue.[1]

While the exact date of installation is unknown, it was installed sometime in the early 20th century. According to a study conducted by National Geographic, the fountain was built after money was raised by local schoolchildren who felt bad for workhorses pulling loads up the hill. It was also used as a human drinking fountain.[1]

In present day, the fountain is primarily used for dogs.[2]
