Linda Dowds is a Canadian-British (American resident) make-up artist.[2][3][4] She is best known for her work on The Eyes of Tammy Faye, True Detective, The Kennedys and Grey Gardens.[5][6]

Dowds won an Academy Award in the category Best Makeup and Hairstyling for the film The Eyes of Tammy Faye.[7] Her win was shared with Stephanie Ingram and Justin Raleigh.[7]

Career

Dowds is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.[8] She has worked with celebrities, including Jessica Chastain, Tom Hanks, Woody Harrelson, Hilary Swank and more.
