The Boyne-class ship of the line caught fire, exploded and sank off Spithead, Hampshire with the loss of eleven of her crew and that of two on board HMS Queen Charlotte (Kingdom of Great Britain Royal Navy). The wreck was dispersed on 30 August 1838.
