Madhur Sharma (born 12 April 1996) is an Indian singer, music composer, and songwriter. He is known for his popular songs "Kaali Kaali Zulfon Ke", "Samandar Saraab", "Tere Jeya Hor Disda" [1] and for his unique fusion of traditional Indian influences with contemporary music production.[2][3]

Career[edit]

Sharma was initially doing jobs in Indore, working in BPOs and at radio stations. Later, he relocated to Mumbai and started his music career in 2019,[4] debuting his first original single "Yaari" in July 2019 under the Times Music label. He initially performed in various clubs and private events across the nation before gaining recognition.[4] He has opened for artists like Neha Kakkar, and other Bollywood singers.[5]

Later in 2021, A video of his live performance in Dubai got viral followed by his release "Kiven Mukhde" which released the same year, rose to popularity, grossing the Spotify Charts with over 8 million streams and 10 million+ on YouTube.[6][7]

In April 2021, He was signed to the label Zee Music with his original track titled "Teri Yaadein".[8]

His cover of "Kali Kali Zulfon Ke" by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was released on 11 June 2021 and became a hit in India, reaching 6th position on the Indian Spotify Charts.[9][10]

In 2022, Sharma collaborated with singer Shipra Goyal on the song "Subah Se Shaam".[11]

In 2023, he released a Lo-Fi version of "Kali Kali Zulfon Ke" through the Indian label T-Series, the version went viral, gaining over 100 million streams on streaming platforms.[9][12] He also re-created "Kaho Na Pyar Hai" from Saregama label for tribute to Hrithik Roshan, Ameesha Patel.[13]

Later the same year, He released his debut single "Samandar Saraab" featuring the popular Indian actress and model Deepti Sati.[14] The song was seen in 50th spot in Indian Charts.[15]

In 2024, He released "Woh Mulaqat" through Universal Music.[16]
