  1. ^ Labor member for Florey, Frances Bedford, resigned from the Labor Party on 28 March 2017 and became an independent, after Jack Snelling was endorsed by the party for pre-selection in the run-up to the 2018 election.[1]
  2. ^ Liberal member for Mount Gambier, Troy Bell, resigned from the Liberal Party on 17 August 2017 and became an independent, due to criminal financial allegations.[2]
  3. ^ a b Independent member for Fisher, Bob Such, died on 10 October 2014. Labor candidate Nat Cook won the resulting by-election on 6 December 2014.
  4. ^ a b Liberal member for Davenport, former party leader Iain Evans, resigned on 30 October 2014. Liberal candidate Sam Duluk won the resulting by-election on 31 January 2015.
  5. ^ Liberal member for Waite, former party leader Martin Hamilton-Smith, resigned from the Liberal Party on 27 May 2014 and became an independent.
  6. ^ Liberal member for Morphett, Duncan McFetridge, resigned from the Liberal Party in May 2014 and became an independent, after losing party endorsement for pre-selection in the run-up to the 2018 election.
