Miran Rada is a prominent scientist of Kurdish-Iraqi descent, currently residing in Canada. He was born in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Sulaimani. Dr. Rada earned his PhD in 2016 from University of Leicester,[1] focusing on oncology, which laid the foundation for his subsequent research endeavours. After completing his doctoral studies, Rada emigrated to the United States, where he began his career at Albany Medical College in 2016. His journey continued as he moved to Canada to work at McGill University, eventually joining Komar University of Science and Technology.[2][3]
Dr. Rada's research has made significant contributions to understanding cancer biology, particularly in the context of colorectal cancer and ovarian cancer. He has extensively studied vessel co-option, a process that tumors use to evade treatment and resist anti-cancer therapies.
