History

[edit]

New Omni Bank, founded in 1980 as Monterey Park National Bank, was established by local small business owners to serve the specific financial needs of their community. The bank’s initial headquarters was in Monterey Park, California, a city that, at the time, had a growing population of Taiwanese immigrants.

In 2011, Chris Huang assumed the role of CEO and has overseen significant growth in the bank’s assets, from $153 million in 2011 to $538 million by 2023. Under his leadership, the bank has expanded its product offerings, particularly in commercial lending and treasury management services.

In 2024, the bank launched a substantial brand refresh to underscore the bank’s ongoing evolution in providing modern financial services while remaining committed to personalized, community-focused banking.

Community Involvement

[edit]

New Omni Bank actively participates in community initiatives, partnering with local organizations to promote economic development and education. The bank supports a variety of programs, including financial literacy workshops and charitable donations, aimed at enhancing the well-being of the communities it serves.

The bank sponsors the New Omni Bank Scholarship Program in collaboration with the Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF), providing scholarships to students in Southern California. Additionally, the bank makes regular contributions to local non-profit organizations and small businesses, further aligning with its mission to support diverse communities.
