Criteria for inclusion needed

Some criteria are needed for determining which current events portals/articles belong here. Here's the list of the ones initially included:

• Current events in Africa
• Current events in Oceania
• Current events in Southeast Asia
• British and Irish current events
• Canadian current events
• Chinese current events
• Current events in India
• Current events in the United States
• Current science and technology events
• Current sports events

For all but two of the articles listed above, the reason for initial inclusion was that it had been updated in June 2006 (the month this template was created). The two in italics were added simply because they were about two countries with really large populations and there was hope that having them appear in this template it might prompt a group of editors to start actively maintaining the article.
