Rahamat Tarikere (born 26 August 1959) is a Kannada writer, critic and teacher. He is well known for his sharp insights and his critical view on culture.[citation needed] He is one noted writers of the new generation of writers in Kannada.[citation needed] Currently he is a professor in Kannada University at Hampi.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]He was born on 26 August 1959 at Samatala village in Tarikere Taluk in Chikkamagaluru district in Karnataka state, India. He completed his BA with a university First rank. He bagged seven gold medals for the M.A. in Kannada Literature from Mysore University.[citation needed]
