Rina Lipa (born 14 May 2001) is an English model,[1] actress and dancer.[2][3]
Early life and education
[edit]Lipa was born on 14 May 2001 in London, England, and is the second child of Anesa (née Rexha) and Dukagjin Lipa.[4] Her sister is singer Dua Lipa, and she has a brother Gjin Lipa.[4][5] Lipa was raised in London and Pristina.[6] She practiced ballet, contemporary dance, and attended Sylvia Young Theatre School.[4]
Career
[edit]Lipa started her career during childhood and made numerous appearance in British television commercials.[4] She participated in The Rock Challenge, a dance competition in the United Kingdom.[4] She later started working as a dancer.[6][5]
In 2019, Lipa signed a contract with House of Valentino and appeared as the image of its Spring 2020 Red Valentino Campaign, and became the youngest person to be photographed for that brand.[4] She also started a contract with Independent Talent Group and made her runway debut at Milan Fashion Week with Giuliano Calza Design Studio’s autumn 2021 show.[6][5][7] Lipa also appeared in a Versace campaign with her sister Dua and started to work for Miu Miu.[6][5] She made her film debut by starring in Expectations along with Callan McAuliffe, Blu Hunt, and Samuel Arnold.[6][5]
Accolades and achievements
[edit]In 2014, Lipa was awarded the Jack Petchey Award for her work as a young artist from London and Essex.[4][6][5]
