The twelfth season[1] of the popular reality show Survivor Greece, premiered on September 16, 2024 on Skai TV in Greece and (via simulcast) on Sigma TV in Cyprus. Giorgos Lianos returned to host for his seventh consecutive season. In August 2024 the official trailer was released[2] announcing the return of the show. it's the first time that the show premiered earlier than January.
The format of the game changed raridly[3] from the previous seasons, as the producers decided to follow the Mexican version of the show, which is also produced by Acun Medya. The teams changed names and colors. The yellow team (Tigers) and the green team (Eagles).
Contestants
[edit]The game began with eighteen contestants divided into two teams Tigers (yellow) and Eagles (green).[4]
- On the second episode, five new contestants (Christiana Grigoraskou, Mairi Peteinari, Maria Kerasioti, Michalis Kondylas and Vladimiros Siikis) joined Ekaterina at the exile island, waiting to get to the game.
- On episode 7, Ekaterina was informed that she's returning to the game. As the teams were ready to compete, Ekaterina made her entrance leaving everybody speechless. Ekaterina and Giorgos Lianos informed the players about the exile island and that 5 new contestants will be joining the game soon. Ekaterina joined her old team (Eagles) and the 5 new players showed up. The teams competed for a reward and also they would have the first pick of which player they want to join their team. The green team won and they picked Mairi Peteinari, Vicky's twin sister. The yellow team picked Vladimiros. Christiana, Maria and Michalis returned to exile.
- On episode 8, Michalis and Maria came back again, to get to the game. Giorgos Lianos said that Christiana had decided to leave the show. The yellow team won and they picked Paraskeui's sister, Maria and Michalis joined the green team. Later Christiana changed her mind and joined the yellow team.
- On episode 12, Giannis Grymanelis decided to leave the game voluntarily, Giorgos Lianos announced that soon two new contestants would join the yellow team, a man and a woman, who would be the last additions to the cast.
- On episode 13 Vladimiros from yellow team and Orfeas from green team change tribe after the decision of their team's leader.
- On episode 14, Giannis Keli entered the game.
- On episode 19 Stefania Glara was added to the yellow team and was the last addition to the cast.

- In the first episode although the teams didn't compete to a immunity match, one player from each team was nominated. Maria Lymperopoulou from Tigreis and Ekaterina Lidvinova from Eagles.
After competing to a game, Maria won and Ekaterina was eliminated. After leaving she found a note that informed her, that she's not leaving the game, but she's moving to the exile island.
