Tajimul Islam

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tajimul Islam is a prominent political leader associated with the incumbent Trinamool Congress (TMC) party in West Bengal, India. He is currently under police custody for allegedly whipping a woman in public. Tajimul is known for allegedly holding 'Taliban-style' kangaroo courts in the Lakkhipur area, as well as accusations of land grabbing.[1][2]

According to Surajit Sen, there have been numerous other cases that have gone unreported because the locals were too scared to report it. He is also alleged to have been involved in 'vote management.'[3]
