The latitude of French Polynesia was grossly misstated in the cold arctic waters of the Northern Hemisphere. French Polynesia is 8.0 to 20 degrees south of the Equator.
Someone needed to do some common-sense proofreading. Coral does not grow at the latitude of Canada and Alaska.
