Union affiliation?

Checking some of the references, it seems unclear what might have been the leading labor organizations behind the strike, if any. There are some various trade unions mentioned, such as the General Trades Union and National Trades Union, but the closest to the strike I was able to find in quickly searching was the "Paterson Association for the Protection of the Working Classes". djr13 (talk) 15:05, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
