I have no real idea about naming conventions for tours. I stuck with this as 1906/1907 South Africa rugby union tour of Britain, Ireland and France just seemed too clunky. I think this is the only tour undertaken by the 'boks in 1906, so stuck with it. Suggestions appreciated.FruitMonkey (talk) 13:33, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think this should be titled 1906 South Africa Grand Slam tour - I have never seen it to referred to by this title anywhere before. I thought the previous title was fine to be honest. --Bcp67 (talk) 15:50, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Have moved page back as per request of two members of the WikiProject Rugby union team. No discussion before page moved, please add comments before moving page in future. Thanks, FruitMonkey (talk) 16:17, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't understand this latest page move. Almost all rugby union tour articles have the format year-country-"rugby union tour of"-main countries visited. This move doesn't follow this pattern, and I also note that the links to the page haven't been changed either (which is probably a good thing in case it ends up being moved back).--Bcp67 (talk) 18:58, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I propose changing the article back to its previous title - if anyone wants to add any comments in support or opposition, please do. --Bcp67 (talk) 19:04, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The reason I didn't use the words France or 1907 in the title of the original name was the French match was not classifeid as an international at the time, and as far as I'm aware the players were never capped. Therefore the term Europe is slightly misguided, as the only tests were inside the British Isles. Please read and add comments before moving again. Discussion is the way forward, thanks FruitMonkey (talk) 19:12, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
