Agatha
[edit]An interesting error on Agatha. The NHC track map (in the infobox) and at the NHC's archive both state Agatha was a hurricane (its type H not TS). However the TCR is for a 55kt TS and the track map itself shows that it never became a hurricane...--Nilfanion (talk) 22:31, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Very interesting indeed. Maybe they initially planned on upgrading Agatha to hurricane status in post-analysis? I dunno, but they are only humans. I suppose they're free to make mistakes once in a while. --Hurricanehink (talk) 22:35, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Its just a very simple typo by whoever made the track map up (they put a H in instead of T). The track map itself shows that Agatha was a TS. I corrected the commons map.--Nilfanion (talk) 22:54, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well, T and H aren't that easy to mistake. Thanks for correcting it. --Hurricanehink (talk) 23:47, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- It says Hurricane Agatha here too [1]. It mentions 55 knots as well. I guess they said that because it had an eye. Good kitty 00:41, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Todo
[edit]I don't think this is in danger of FAR, but I'd like to see a seasonal summary section added as well as the removal of some overlinking. YE Pacific Hurricane 16:37, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Javier
[edit]In an abandoned sandbox I have discovered sometime ago, there is a bit of a information about Javier's damage and deaths. Apparently, Javier caused 162 deaths and $1.5 billion. At least 162 people were killed by flash flooding and mudslides caused by Javier.[1][2] Unofficial reports indicate that upwards of 1,000 people were killed by the storm, making Javier one of the deadliest tropical cyclones to form in the basin.[1][3] At least 450,000 people were left homeless and damages from the storm amounted to $1.5 billion.[1]
@Cyclonebiskit: Should I add this information to the main article? I'm not sure if this is reliable. SMB99thx my edits! 04:36, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

- I don't believe those rains and floods were directly caused by Javier. The Weather Prediction Center links the heaviest rainfall to Tropical Storm Frances, over 40" in Chiapas, and CNN/Reuters confirms that the deadly floods occurred in Chiapas. Javier mostly caused rains on the west coast. If anything, I'd suggest a dedicated September 1998 Mexico floods article. For now, the content is in the Frances article, although some of it is unsourced. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:24, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
