Bolding Left To Do

[edit]

Some bolding is still left to do. Unfortunately, I did not finish my major editing with the bolding of the winners of each match. If you feel like it, you may bold the winners of each match. I hope to do so later tonight. IanManka 18:36, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

9+42=51?

[edit]

52 teams took part (only Djibouti did not enroll), competing for 5 places in the World Cup.

The qualification was composed of two Rounds. 9 teams entered the competition directly on the Second Round (the 5 teams that qualified for the 2002 World Cup Finals and the 4 best ranked teams according to FIFA). The other 42 teams were paired 2-by-2 and played knock-out matches home-and-away

Something's wrong here... Borisblue 22:53, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Reading the article, I think the absense of Comoros along with Djibuti is missing. Comoros was already a FIFA member, so CAF had 53 members (9 + 42 + 2). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 191.184.2.21 (talk) 16:49, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Round 1 Fixtures?

[edit]

Maybe you could present the round 1 knock out phase information so as to be similar to the round 2 i.e giving us a date and city of where the fixtures were held as well as the end results. Also maybe you could list the 9 teams by name in the body of the paragraph who automatically went through to round 2. I mean we can work it out ourselves but would make it easier for the browsing reader.

Seedings

[edit]

Was it an open draw or was there seedings in round 2?95.45.147.98 (talk) 00:01, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
