Merge

[edit]

The articles on 2011 and 2012 Indian anti-corruption movements should be merged, it's one movement that covers both years. Charles Essie (talk) 21:36, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Given that there are still demonstrations and activities going on in 2013, I suggest removing the year reference in the title altogether. Some of the older info from 2011 isn't as important as the more up-to-date examples in 2012, but the background information is far better in the 2011 article. I vote to merge into an article called "Indian anti-corruption movements." —Zujine|talk 15:25, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree that it should really be considered a single topic and continuous movement, but I think that significant amount of that out-of-date information will have to be removed before a merge to keep it readable, per WP:SIZE. AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 00:25, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Agree - this is one topic, rather weirdly split across several articles because people did not understand WP:NOTNEWS. I am happy to assist in pruning about 90% of the two article prior to a merge - much of their content is almost certainly copyright violation anyway. - Sitush (talk) 23:21, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I feel that the two articles should NOT be merged - the 2011 and 2012 movements had different sets of people, different dynamics, and most importantly, different results. Hence they should not be merged. In any case, they both are linked to the India against corruption wiki page.

Who were these different people? Why did they change? Why does it matter when the underlying theme is the same? - Sitush (talk) 18:00, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sitush can you merge these articles? -Nizil (talk) 15:59, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I probably can if there is consensus. However, I'd need to check with an admin because I think a history merge might be required. Right now, I'm not convinced that there is consensus and so the best I can do is probably just tidying and removal of any further copyright violation that is found. - Sitush (talk) 16:02, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sitush Its been years and nobody is voting. I think most people agreed in merging. Nobody replied why they should not be merged. 2012 article is small and I think there is no issue if we move it to 2011. I think these movement started with Anna fasts and ended with formation of Aam Aadmi party. Followed by Lokpal Act, 2013 and Aam admi performance in 2012 Delhi election. Check for history merge too. Assistance needed - website of IAC

[edit]

Hello everyone,

I have added the official website for the IAC (https://www.facebook.com/Indiacor) on the right side of IAC's 2012 Indian anti corruption movement wikipage, however it does not appear.

Can someone please help / correct this?

Thank you
