Celebrity deaths in the lead
2016 had a lot of celebrity deaths, so I made a lead, the idea was brought up by user jim Michael 2 on talk:2022[1] who has said a lot of very entertainers died that year, and since we already had a celebrity lead in the 2022 article, I decided to add a celebrity deaths lead here, any thoughts and what celebrity should be on the lead. 4me689 (talk) 16:30, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- I agree that the three currently in the lead are important enough to be there, as is Alan Rickman. Jim Michael 2 (talk) 17:04, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Jim Michael 2: what about Gene Wilder, he was a important Celebrity who died in 2016, also I'm curious what @PaulRKil: and @TheScrubby: thinks 4me689 (talk) 17:35, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- No, because he didn't win major awards. Jim Michael 2 (talk) 18:45, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- Ok, but didn't Donald Trump win the election that year? Blakelyelijahl (talk) 19:24, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- He did, but that's not relevant to this discussion. I guess you're suggesting that the 2016 United States presidential election should be in the lead, but I don't think elections are internationally important enough for the lead of main year articles.
