Bradford Trade

[edit]

If the Vikings win the NFC Championship and the conditional 2018 4th round selection from the Vikings becomes a 3rd round selection, wouldn't the 7th round selection going from Philadelphia to Minnesota be in 2018 as well and not 2017? Dabullzrule (talk) 03:00, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct but no longer matters — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.225.96.148 (talk) 00:47, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Live picks

[edit]

Hello, I just have a quick question. I loaded up this page during the first round to clarify some trade info, and I discovered that this page is announcing the picks live quicker then they are being announced on TV and online. May I ask how you are getting this info before the media posts it? If there is a source online that this live info is being taken from, that is readily available in real time, I would love to know about it. Thank you. Might want to fix your link. It currently brings to a page for a guy born in 1964 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.225.96.23 (talk) 00:20, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Giants' 4th round compensatory pick is improperly highlighted. It should be highlighted blue like the surrounding pages. Rnn2walls (talk) 00:24, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ok done Roseohioresident (talk) 04:00, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No no, that Giants pick is the one that was dropped 12 spots due to that walkie talkie penalty. It is NOT a comp pick, it is their regular 4th round pick, so it should not be highlighted as a comp pick. It was correct as it was before. Bobharris1989 (talk) 04:37, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Gabe marks

[edit]

There are some long articles about Gabe Marks, who is up in the draft. But no Wikipedia article.

Including these for instance.

Also he set the Pac-12 record for most career receptions in his senior year, and finished second in conference history with 37 touchdown catches.

Are they all enough to qualify him for an article?

Can someone write one?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:E016:A700:4823:5948:F23E:F0D7 (talk) 05:05, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:NGRIDIRON, which is a guideline to creating biography articles for gridiron (American/Canadian football) players, Marks doesn't qualify. However, I have seen a lot of players selected in the second half of the draft to have articles created for them, just for the sake of not having a red link. There are more in the later selections especially. Marks has been picked up by the New York Jets as a free agent, so we'll see if he gets an article. — Wyliepedia 05:15, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
thanks. Can he qualify for an article just because he has a half dozen or dozen long articles in major press that are all about him? 2604:2000:E016:A700:E109:A55F:5D8E:FBC1 (talk) 08:53, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
WP:GNG might help you. Red Jay (talk) 09:21, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's possible one could create one. He's going through what Nelson Spruce went through last season. His article didn't get created until he got picked up after the draft as an FA. — Wyliepedia 18:28, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong picks

[edit]

The chart is way off for the NY Jets. They have picks 125, 150, 160, 191, 204 and 224. For some reason people didn't list the trades correctly and didn't give the Jets the picks they got in trades/

Bucknell

[edit]

Not sure who it was who came into IRC asking about Bucknell, but I've added them to the proper template so the Patriot League should show up properly in the table now. Let me know if there are any other template/table/etc issues that should be dealt with (ping me using {{u|Primefac}}). Primefac (talk) 18:16, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

pick 230 wrong team

[edit]

This pick was traded to the Washington Redskins who made the draft pick. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:387:B:3:0:0:0:5B (talk) 22:09, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Missing a trade

[edit]

Green Bay traded their fifth-round selection (172nd) to Denver in exchange for Denver's fifth- and seventh-round selections (175th and 238th). 161.222.160.8 (talk) 00:27, 1 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
