As far as I can tell, while all occurring within a short space of time, these seem to be unlinked and isolated flooding events spread widely across Europe from different weather systems and to link them all together under this article seems a little WP:OR to me. They do not appear to be one cohesive flooding event as with events such as the 2013 European floods. The UK & Ireland floods can be covered at 2018–19 European windstorm season#Storm Callum (or a Storm Callum article if one arises) while the France, Portugal & mainland Spain floods can be covered over at Hurricane Leslie (2018). That really only leaves the Mallorca flooding of note, which could perhaps gain its own article over at 2018 Mallorca floods or similar if deemed notable enough; and also the Italy floods which I don't think would be notable enough for a standalone article. Thoughts? Buttons0603 (talk) 22:04, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have edited the article into more than a table but I definitely agree that there are separate weather events, though it does seem that Italy and Mallorca were (initially) the same storm. Kingsif (talk) 01:07, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I would caution against incorporating the France, Portugal, and mainland Spain flooding into Hurricane Leslie (2018) based on the following: "According to meteorologist Etienne Kapikian of Meteo France, ex-hurricane Leslie's role in these floods were marginal, even though the remains of the hurricane lay just to the south. The dramatic flash-flooding came from a large trough of low pressure over France and Spain."[1] Agree with User:Buttons0603 that these floods probably don't constitute a monophyletic set; no constructive plan as to what to do with the material in the current article. If this page is going to be kept, it should be in standard WP format instead of the structure that an IP address keeps reverting it to. This is also the IP’s only contribution. Formatting should be this, with all updated information incorporated. Kingsif (talk) 05:08, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
