Name change?
[edit]I believe this article should have its name changed. It's not just a Keir Starmer controversy, it's a government controversy. 82.14.16.140 (talk) 21:21, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- To "Freebies row" or "Freebies scandal" perhaps, per WP:COMMONNAME? -- DeFacto (talk). 21:33, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Done. NHCLS (talk) 10:02, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- I do agree with this now there is now reports saying that former Tory Prime Minister David Cameron along with his wife Samantha Cameron accepted freebie clothes paid for with Tory donor cash I do believe as a result this is becoming a controversy outside of the Labour Party as well. 2024 Labour Party freebies controversy → United Kingdom freebies controversy – Former Tory chancellor George Osborne had suggested on the podcast that former Tory Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha Cameron had received freebie clothes paid for with Tory donor cash to "look smart" which was undeclared at the time. Therefore I do believe that the current controversy is now becoming a wider controversy across the political spectrum. Pikachu3408 (talk) 16:27, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose as that, which presumably happened more than ten years ago, is unrelated to the current row. If it was notable and controversial at the time, then perhaps consider creating a new article for it instead of trying to roll it into this one. -- DeFacto (talk). 16:55, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
