The description of this unit as marines is very confused: it bears the "traditions of the disbanded 7th Coastal Defence Division (known as the Blue Berets)". Yes, it does, but that does not mean that it is a marine unit, any more than a cavalry unit preserving the traditions of a horsed unit needs to keep horses. "Therefore it is sometimes referred to the marines of Poland". Not so, it is called a marine unit because it is a marine unit. The statement that "However, as of 2007 there are no plans by the Polish Army to create an active marine unit" is wrong. This is a marine unit, as is confirmed by the next statement that "Therefore the 7th Brigade carries out only limited-scale exercises of amphibious assaults".Royalcourtier (talk) 05:57, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
