Factual Errors in the Government Section

[edit]

The town has a town manager, not an executive secretary; that change was made several years ago in the town charter. As for the town's ambulance service, there is only one ambulance, it is housed at the Rockland Street Station, and it often carries patients to Brockton Hospital as well as South Shore hospital, depending on the situation. The former town hall was located in the former North Congregational Church, at 33 Randolph Street. That building has been subsequently sold and renovated into apartments. The building shown in the picture is located at 416 Washington Street, and was never used as a town hall. That building was formerly used as a Masonic Lodge (and at times prior to the 1960s for sittings of the District Court), and is now an Assembly of God Brazilian church. There was failed attempt for a year or two in the early 1990s to use it as a community center. 151.203.29.117 20:45, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

sub tropical climate

[edit]
Abington is very close to Boston which is supposed to have a hot summer continental climate. I don't think the South Shore-Plymouth County-has ever been described as sub tropical. My reference is living here for sixty years with not a hint of any tropical vegetation.
