Multiple issues

[edit]

I received a "multiple issue" message today. A lot of irrelevant details have already been removed by your editors, so the article might be OK now. Is there anything else I have to do, or can the message be deleted?Solveig Hansen (talk) 18:07, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE, October 21, 2015: I removed the Multiple Issues template as the issues are resolved. I hope the article is up to standard now.Solveig Hansen (talk) 18:05, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

COI tag

[edit]

Louie2015 requested here at Template talk:COI that the COI template be removed from this article. First up, @Melcous: could you please explain why you added it in the first place? Thanks SmartSE (talk) 12:38, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The template was added after Btvs97 also created Draft:Iflac: The International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace using very promotional language, content copied from blogs and other sources associated with the topic, and did not respond to questions about their possible COI. That user's contributions to this article (this for example) have been of a similar type - promotional in nature and raising questions about COI. The article as it stands still contains plenty of unsourced content added by the editor. Also, I note the request by Louie2015 addresses the question of paid editing but is unclear about COI editing more broadly. Thanks Melcous (talk) 12:55, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • What I think should be changed: I would like your help in solving the following two comments you made:

This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page. (Learn how and when to remove these messages) This biography of a living person needs additional citations for verification. (September 2020)

  • Why it should be changed: People who read my page are worried by your above comments and they hurt my reputation as an author.
  • References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): - I have all the cititations and references needed and would be glad to send them to you editors. please help.

References

If you would like to add references you will need to list them here. There are some "citation needed" tags throughout the page; please address each one of these with a specific citation supporting the information.
Another solution is to delete all the challenged text, resulting in a biography page without those unsightly tags. Binksternet (talk) 17:14, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,
When considering possible citations, probably best to have a look at the relevant policy (WP:RS) to see which types are considered good or bad. Generally speaking, non independent sources such as subject's own website, sponsored content or interviews are considered bad. Independent sources in high quality media outlets are considered best. Hope this helps.
Thank you for engaging here via the article talkpage.
