Race

[edit]

Does anyone know what race she is?

Just curious.

Her "race" is European/White/Caucasian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.50.73.139 (talk) 10:58, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Age

[edit]

Ok how come suddenly shes 24? shes been much older for so long and now, 24. I remember viewing her page and it said 28/29. We get older not younger. She was older than 20 when she won ANTM. Since when would being 20 be such a problem? You don't make yourself older, just younger. Madness.

Personally, I get younger every year...especially the older I get. It's very strange how my birthdate is different on so many varied documents/sources. YOU'RE apparently doing something wrong! :) Codenamemary (talk) 20:59, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adrianne vs. Tyra

[edit]

Can someone discuss their feud on the article? THANKS. -Lil_Flip246

quotes from Playboy

[edit]

I've removed the quotes attributed to the February 2006 Playboy. They're simply not in the article. -- Mikeblas 17:07, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • You read an article in Playboy? Suuuuuure... --17:51, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Break-UP?????

[edit]
  • There are two lines in here stating that Adrienne Curry broke up with Christopher Knight and is currently engaged to Miguel Godinez. This is unconfirmed and I can't find any mention of it anywhere. I am deleting these two lines until someone can confirm this is true. TruthHurts

February 4th, 2006

Someone has re-posted the supposed break-up, I've looked EVERYWHERE and I can't find a scrap of proof of this. Untill there is definative proof, with proper citations, the supposed breakup shouldn't really be on the page, so I'll delete it untill someone can confirm the statement.
Also I deleted that on her myspace it states she is not sure. This could be anyone's myspace just posing as her. People do use all the time, saying they are a celebrity. There is at least 20 Brad Pitt profiles out there.witchbaby 04:20, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Adrianne has a link to her MySpace on her official site. Its real. 68.85.185.223 07:03, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vague

[edit]

"She is signed in LA": this is too vague. Who signed her? To what sort of contract? For how long? What was her estimated payment? Omit or provide details, please. --grommel, 2006-06-26.

fair use and the Playboy Cover

[edit]

This quote from the WP:FU guidelines was used to justify replacing (for the second time) the playboy cover image in this article:

"However, if that magazine issue itself is notable enough to be a topic within the article, then fair use may apply."

The issue is not a topic within the article; it's simply mentioned in one sentence and not discussed at all. A topic would involve the article something notable at the shooting, the public reception of the picture, and so on. The article only devotes a sentence to the issue, and that doesn't discuss the magazine itself or its notability. This article doesn't discuss the Playboy issue other than to mention Adrianne's presence in the issue, and doesn't provide critical commentary of the issue or the photograph.

I have removed the cover image again, as I don't believe it falls short of establishing fair use for its inclusion in this article. If anyone disagrees, I'd welcome a third opinon review. -- Mikeblas 01:53, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the image was used as a visual for Adrianne Curry. Practically every biographical article here includes a photo of the person the article is about. Jtrost (T | C | #) 02:06, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. Problem is, magazine covers are protected copyright. Using the image to discuss the magazine is fair use; using the magazine image to discuss the person on the cover is not. -- Mikeblas 02:13, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the image again. -- Mikeblas 04:33, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wedding date

[edit]

On this page, her wedding date is listed as May 29, 2006. But on Christopher Knight, it's listed as May 27, 2006. Which is correct? --Lc 04 00:33, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

lol, that is the worst pic of her

[edit]

seriously, talk about out-of-focus, random point-and-shoot pic. i could find a better one on a simple image search ;p 71.232.108.228 02:46, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah probably. But would it be copyright free? If it is then go for it brob 10:04, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She has "interesting views" on Black History month

[edit]

See her Myspace blog. I can't hotlink it cause of the stupid spam filter. Perhaps someone should write about this. Seems controversial.brob 10:03, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life reference

[edit]

Under Personal life the article states: "on the season finale of the show". This reference to show is not clear as the previous career section lists at least 5 shows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.65.73.107 (talk) 14:49, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Tester 2

[edit]

On the PlayStation Network (accessible through the menus of the PlayStation 3) there is a reality show called "The Tester 2". In the show, Adrianne Curry is a Judge on the show.

Guild?

[edit]

"Curry is apparently now dating one of her own guild members" - this needs to state what guild it's referring to. --Chriswaterguy talk 06:30, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
