- The result of this discussion was merge. Referring to @Piotrus: to carry out the merge. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:27, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
Low birth rate in South Korea is pretty much the fork of this article - both describe the same issue. Low birth rate leads to aging. No need to split those topics. And we seem to discuss this issue under Aging of Foo, per the existence of Category:Ageing by country and the lack of Category:Low birth rate by country,--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:35, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support While low birth rate does not necessarily lead to aging under all circumstances--as in a mass mortality event for older people--in a modern context low birth rate and aging seem to have enough overlap to warrant a merger here.

- Support and speedy merge The contents of these two articles are highly similar and both are relatively short. Also please move quickly as this proposal has been up for over a year now Twa0726 (talk) 05:12, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
I agree. The situation in south korea is similar to that in japan. For japan we only have one particle, called "aging of japan". Since the current "low birth rate of south korea article" is longer and written better, we should merge this article into that one but rename it.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:6c40:4000:1b1c:a8be:f60b:4e54:f3b5 (talk) 06:20, May 26, 2021 (UTC)
@Shhhnotsoloud: I don't feel like doing it myself. Maybe in few months I'll task some students to do it for extra credit if nobody does it before. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:24, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Piotrus: OK. I listed it at Wikipedia:Proposed article mergers/Holding cell. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:35, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Shhhnotsoloud Thanks. And I'll take note of that holding cell for some future ideas for extra credit for students :) Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:37, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Shhhnotsoloud @Piotrus No need, I have gone ahead and merged the two myself! :D Tweedle (talk) 21:43, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
