Confliction with Jurasic Park (franchise) article
[edit]Actor Sam Neill said he was returning as Dr. Alan Grant, with filming expected to begin in 2004 in California and Hawaii.[21] This directly conflicts with the mention of Jurassic Park IV in this Alan Grant article. This sentence does not make sense: "Actually, Grant is based on Horner himself - one of the scientific advisers for Jurassic Park - than on "Bob" Makela (1940-1987), Horner's co-author for Maiasaura." There is no context with which to correct it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Corwynofamber (talk • contribs) 22:15, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Alan Grant (character) → Alan Grant (Jurassic Park) – Standard disambiguation for fictional elements is by work title. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 01:02, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. "Alan Grant (character)" is incomplete disambiguation since the Alan Grant disambiguation page also lists "Alan Grant, fictional Scotland Yard detective, from a series of mystery novels by Josephine Tey" along with "Alan Grant, a character from the 2012 Canadian horror movie American Mary". The entry for the Jurassic Park character was created in April 2005 as Alan Grant. Nearly five years later, in February 2010 it was moved to List of Jurassic Park characters#Dr. Alan Grant and in July 2010 it was restored as Alan Grant (Jurassic Park). Then, in February 2013, it was moved to Dr. Alan Grant and remained under that header for nine-and-a-half years until being moved in July 2022 to Alan Grant (character). As an alternative, I would also support a restoration of the previous long-lasting header — Dr. Alan Grant — as well as a move of the other characters under Category:Jurassic Park characters — Ian Malcolm (character) and Henry Wu (character) — to their earlier main title headers: Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park) and Henry Wu (Jurassic Park). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 14:50, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- Support and any others Claire Dearing Owen Grady Maisie Lockwood Move Ian Malcolm (character) Rexy really? Ellie Sattler Move Henry Wu (character)... In ictu oculi (talk) 20:37, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- @In ictu oculi: I could not move those unilaterally. Should I open a joint RM separate from this one, or add them to this nomination because they are both Jurassic Park characters? –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 06:25, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- LaundryPizza03 It would be better to open another RM and include all those other requests. Cheers --Megan B.... It’s all coming to me till the end of time 10:35, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
