Found the solution to this. Look at the page of Saoirse Ronan and change it accordingly. Why not British-born Indian actress (if you she is that obsessed with being called a British citizen)!!
She's not British like it says. Both her parents are Indian; it's not Indian "descent." She lives in India; also not Indian "descent." Anant-morgan (talk) 21:45, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But ethnicity wise, she has also been Indian and lives here too. We did same for Akshay Kumar and didn't call him 'Canadian.' In fact, the only reason calling her "British of Indian descent" would be if she preferred that way. Anant-morgan (talk) 11:34, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Kumar was originally an Indian citizen, he was Canadian for a decade, then reverted back. Besides, we do not use ethnicity in lead, only citizenship/nationality. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:16, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"British-born" would be incorrect too because she was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. "Indian descent" suggests that she was born to Indian parents outside India, which is not the case. IsFanXianAlive (talk) 11:52, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
She has a British passport because her mother was born there. She is of Indian descent . Pls don’t try to fit the British in because she acquired just a passport and that doesn’t mean she was born there. Her mother was just born there and moved to India soon after

Change " alia bhatt is a British actress to alia bhatt is an Indian actress" she holds dual citizenship to India n Britain. Works in Bollywood, indian film industry.. so how exactly is she a British actress? Her father is a producer in Indian films, mother who is from Britain, has worked in Indian films all her life, loved here in India. 152.58.79.70 (talk) 05:56, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Krimuk2.0, (tbh) I still feel a need to trim this article while (I think) I understand why you've (partially) reverted my edit (I didn't explicitly explain it in the edit summary) and (I know) I'm ignorant: imo, it's fine to remove "as a child" in "After making her acting debut as a child in the 1999 thriller film Sangharsh ..." cuz through the film's release year (1999) and her birth year (1993), readers (who know basic math) would easily understand the fact that Bhatt started her acting career as a child—which (probably) also applies to "at age five" in "Her first acting role was at age five in her father's production venture Sangharsh (1999) ..." as well as "a then-12-year old" and "a then-20-year old" in "... Bhansali cast a then-12-year old Bhatt opposite a then-20-year old Ranbir Kapoor to make their debuts in his film Balika Vadhu ..."—and leads should usually be short; ", with whom she has a daughter" in "She is married to actor Ranbir Kapoor, with whom she has a daughter." cuz the fact that she has a daughter with Kapoor isn't significantly covered in the body (MOS:LEADNO says, "According to the policy on due weight, emphasis given to material should reflect its relative importance to the subject, according to published reliable sources. This is true for both the lead and the body of the article."). Thedarkknightli (talk) 10:20, 13 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
None of these are major issues to fight over. They might be your preference, but I don't think mentioning her acting debut "as a child" or the fact that she has a daughter affects MOS:LEADLENGTH in any way whatsoever. Additionally, mentioning the age gap of Kapoor (an adult) and Bhatt (then a minor) is pivotal to what the plot of Balika Vadhu is, and I see no reason for its removal.
