Incomplete list of brands

[edit]

Last time I was in Düsseldorf (I guess it was 13 years ago), I could swear that in addition to the ubiquitous Diebels Alt, another popular altbier was called Düssel Alt. This article makes no mention of it, and it's hard to find sources because there are so many beers with the same name brewed outside of Germany, although I found this one that mentions it.

I'll add that my wife, who generally doesn't like beer, liked this one. It's really good. And the locals consider it "medicinal": whatever's ailing you, a glass of Düssel Alt should make it better. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:27, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Düssel Alt was brewed by Hirschbrauerei AG. Hirschbrauerei closed 1974. Düssel Alt was produced by various breweries in the area, it disappeared from the market around 2010. Lberges (talk) 20:12, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
