[edit]Probably, the story of the Tower of Babel comes from the ziggurat of Babylon, during the time of jews exilium. Herodotus describes this magnificent tower and as far as I know it is the most complete description of the Babylon ziggurat by an ancient writer.
Amar-Sin means Young Bull of the god Sin (moon).
