Deletion note? Really? Way to put in a totally meaningless deletion note. Whatever raises your edit count, I guess. Good luck with proving non-notability. Some of us are busy working on adding meaningful content here and countering all manners of bias on Wikipedia. --Peripatetic (talk) 09:55, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
She's won a major literary award in the Arab world. I can guarantee you that people have been added here from the West for achieving a LOT less. As for 25 AFDs, that's out of more than 500 articles/stubs I've created in the last 7 years. That's 1 in 20. I'll take a hit rate of 19 out of 20 any day. My main reason for being on WP is to counter systemic bias, in spite of the best efforts of Western-focused deletionists. Part of that goal is to fill out gaps in the coverage of Arabic literature which at the moment is woefully inadequate. Check my edits for the last 6 months. If you have objections, keep raising them. I have little doubt that this one is going to be defeated. I was given Autopatrolled status on WP a few months ago. You can be sure it wasn't for adding garbage to the site. Like you, I care about WP's quality too. All the best. --Peripatetic (talk) 10:06, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"best efforts of Western-focused deletionists" - Chill out! I have no bias towards anyone or anything, except WP guidelines and policies. When I tagged the article there was only one source, and it was a small paragraph on a university webpage. Since then, you've added more sources and references and the article now meets WP:NOTE, whereas it didn't before - that's why I tagged it. Who.was.phone (talk) 10:16, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
