Largely unreferenced

[edit]

This article, apparently based on a couple of books, is superficial, opinionated and largely unreferenced. If this is not remedied within the next two months, I think it should become a candidate for deletion. Mzilikazi1939 (talk) 19:43, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to make improvements and to add references before you threaten to delete a perfectly valid article that needs expansion...Modernist (talk) 23:13, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Following Modernist's advice, I have deleted two paragraphs of unsupported and questionable opinionation which are in conflict with WP guidelines. It would be good to have references to support the statistics given in the rest of the article but I leave it to those with access to the texts quoted. Article needs additional citations for verification

[edit]

When adding {{Refimprove}} on 13 October 2016, Lentower noted that "each colony needs a reliable source as citation."

Wikipedia's policy on verifiability says it must be possible to show that all material, including that in lists, is based on reliable published sources rather than the beliefs or experiences of its editors. The way to demonstrate verifiability is with citations to reliable sources, the mechanics of which are explained in Wikipedia:Citing sources. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:22, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Confuses retreats and colonies

[edit]

Two very different ideas, all muddled together here. Art scholar required. 195.239.8.238 (talk) 08:24, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Problems

[edit]

This article needs more pictures and much shorter lists. Kapeter77 (talk) 21:11, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

North America and United States sections

[edit]

There are two sections on the US, which doesn't seem logical -KaJunl (talk) 12:17, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There were two similarly-names sections on the US, the former covering history, and the latter being a list of colonies. So, I've edited one of the subheadings to make this distinction clearer. Klbrain (talk) 17:40, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

[edit]

Support the proposal to merge Art commune to here, given that these synonyms are best discussed in one place. Klbrain (talk) 17:36, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
