If somebody has the means to do so, adding an audio clip of this word being spoken would be very nice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.119.111.71 (talk) 01:25, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Examples?

[edit]

The existing examples are mostly north American (with one conjugate example in Europe). Global examples would be a good improvement. Elriana (talk) 19:23, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've added an African example - the few others I thought of don't have articles yet. The term is anyway becoming archaic I think, "failed rift" has more currency these days in my experience. Mikenorton (talk) 19:57, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
An even greater improvement would be to knock the examples together into a single list; instead of several examples around the world and then one section of Aulacogens in the United States by itself, as if US geology were a special case all by itself. Yes, the separate U.S. section is nonsensical since we're talking geology rather than politics. Better still would be sections for continents rather than one list, so the info is easier to find/read/absorb.  Done, with an additional citation that shows where Russias aulacogens are located since that country straddles two continents. — Molly-in-md (talk) 15:35, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
