Azeroth as a Continent?
[edit]When has their ever been an Azeroth continent that includes Iron forge?
There has been one for a lon time and it is asome.
The Eastern Kingdom contains 4 continents; Azeroth, Khaz Modan, Quel 'Thalas and Lordaeron?
Many Kingdoms have risen and fallen but I thought these four kingdoms always remained?? - UnlimitedAccess 21:52, 27 August 2005 (UTC)
Yes that is true, of course Lordaeron has since fallen to the Forsaken Derktar 00:12, August 29, 2005 (UTC).
- All fixed now. I noticed that I couldnt find any reference to Quel 'Thalas as a seperate region after Warcaft 2... so its safe to assume that the land of Quel Thalas has shrunk after the fall of the High Elves and the borders of Lordaeron have extended. I guess it's only natural now that Lordaeron is for the most part Undead controlled and seeping further East and South. I have gone through and fixed it all for Azeroth (world), Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Northrend and made a little progress on Khaz Modan, Azeroth (kingdom) and Lordaeron too. Regions like Kalimdor didnt state the landmass is divided into North and South Kalimdor so thats all been corrected now. Hopefully now with a hands off approach people's contributions will fall neatly into place. - UnlimitedAccess 12:06, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
- Technically Khaz Modan, Lordaeron, and Azeroth are all continents, and the Eastern Kingdom is a supercontinent. It gets confusing for Azeroth since there is the Kingdom of Azeroth (that comprises of Stormwind, Elwynn Forest, Westfall, Redridge Mountains, and Duskwood), the Continent of Azeroth (that comprises of the whole kingdom of Azeroth, along with the Burning Steppes, Swamp of Sorrows, Blasted Lands, and Stranglethorn Vale), and the World of Azeroth, so that bit can get confusing... I'm currently correcting the description of the Eastern Kingdoms. --Kaziel 19:44, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Just a quick question, the article currently states "and shattering the one large continent into four separate ones." has there been any references to the fourth continent? All i read then was that there’s Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, and Northrend. If there hasn’t been any mention of the fourth continent in and of the games, then perhaps that should be mentioned. – AFL
Origin of Name?
[edit]Anyone else notice that E A R T H + O Z = A Z E R O T H ?
- Nice spot, but this demon is a far more likely source. AKismet 05:54, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
In the book of Deuteronomy chapter 1, the israelites settle at a location and called it Hazeroth I believe.
Perhaps Blizzard had attain the name from that. Anker99 00:10, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
Merger of unnotable articles into Azeroth
[edit]I support the idea, as all of the articles that would be merged here do not have any independent notability and thus don't deserve their own articles. Judgesurreal777 22:07, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- Same here. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the subject to be able to perform the merges. Pagrashtak 22:16, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
