BE-3 / BE-3U

[edit]

This page discusses both the BE-3 and BE-3U engine, but since the change to make the BE-3U an expander engine instead of using Tap-off, it is a completely different device. The only similarity is the name and propellant. The BE-3 and BE-3 U should be discussed in separate pages. 73.169.149.66 (talk) 03:45, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Specific impulse ?

[edit]

This is the key performance parameter, spectacular by its absence. I assume this means it has not been released? Wwheaton (talk) 01:48, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that would be my guess as well. As a private company, developing the BE-3 on their own dime, Blue Origin is certainly free to keep their data proprietary as they wish, which it would seem they have been doing with a great deal of info about all of their rocket, capsule, and engine developpment work over the past decade.
So we add info to the article as we can, and as we have sources. As soon as any editor finds a source, would hope they will add it to the article. N2e (talk) 13:23, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can it gimbal ?

[edit]

Article does not say if the BE-3 engines can be gimballed (thrust vectoring) in any, one or two directions - or through what angle. Can anyone say ? - Rod57 (talk) 21:42, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Seems it can : [1] - Rod57 (talk) 21:51, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
