NPOV/Weasel

[edit]

"The Bald Knobbers was a group of non-racially motivated vigilantes" this phrase seems to suggest that most vigilantes are racially motivated. Of the four examples of vigilantes that immediately spring to mind (Batman, The Punisher, Bernie Goetz, and the Ku Klux Klan,)only one is racially motivated. Any thoughts on this? That was pretty good for me. I actually thought they were like the KKK (same era and everything). Batman isn't real. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.192.196.79 (talk) 02:19, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That you thought they were like the KKK is your own fault and prejudice. I agree, the implication that most vigilantes are racially motivated is inaccurate and unfair, and needs(ed) removal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.239.232.139 (talk) 19:40, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This article is terrible, needs to be re written. Recommend the author actually read the book cited. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.64.154.197 (talk) 16:14, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Another good reference

[edit]

While doing some other research I stumbled across this link that has some good info on the Baldknobbers, or at least can verify some of the info already in the article. It's part of a largr book "Christian County: It's first 100 years".

http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~moccl/CCMo1st100/cc_chapter10_184.htm

Some info for the citation: Ozark, Missouri: Christian County Centennial, Inc., 1980. 223pp., including bibliography.

I just don't have the time right now to work on this Wiki, with a large waiting list of projects already. So I thought I'd at least share the link so someone else might take up the cause. Have a great Wiki kind of day! Sector001 (talk) 20:43, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
