deaths and relationship to massacre

[edit]

The article currently says 400 Americans were killed, which I doubt because it would be much better known about in American history. Is this the event termed "Massacre of Balantang" mentioned at Battle of the Visayas (1899) article, in which perhaps 48 Americans were killed. I wonder if 400 "casualties" was an estimate, that could have been translated incorrectly as meaning deaths. --doncram 00:41, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Its like you may say the American-history is the better truth than the Philippine-history, concerning about the events on what happen really happen during the battle of Balantang? if yes you could find out any sources regarding the battle of balantang in American-history, and this battle is not a massacre..but rather one of the most glorious conventional battle triumphs of retaking a province for the Filipino forces during their lost on the battle of Iloilo, Jaro on early Febuary(1899), i would also say making of Battle of the Visayas (1899) article would just add to the confusion and even more misleading, and why does it had to be separated since they are part of the Revolutionary army of the Philippines).for an example it is not possible that only 400 US soldier could take bunches of Visayan island? without a doubt it is does not have any reliable sources to provide support, 400 "casualties" of the of the US could been or not estimate, and a massive Filipino casualties could had been also. that's why been mention as an "UNKNOWN" unable to tell the death toll of the casualties and it has a reliable source of especially about the story of General Teresa Magbanua.FilBox101 (talk) 04:35, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
