Abu Hareira
[edit]The Abu Hareira or Hureira was a strong Turkish point west of Moshav, now Tidhar, which is about 15 km north of the battle area. It doesn't make sense that the artillery of Abu Hareira had anything to do with this area. Beersheva was much closer and I believe the Turks had some artillery there.Tushyk (talk) 21:56, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. The map I've been using to orientate myself, and the detail I've added, shows the area of fighting to be more in the centre of the Gaza to Beersheba line. But it would be great if you could add a map with these Turkish place names on it. --Rskp (talk) 01:32, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Major Alexander Malins "Laffy" Lafone VC
[edit]This article is called "Battle of El Buggar Ridge" so I don't really see why Major Lafone VC is mentioned in such detail. He has his own article elsewhere - 'Major Alexander Malins "Laffy" Lafone', complete with a quote from the London Gazette (which is duplicated here). A few words in this article maybe, but for those readers who want to learn more, they should click on the blue link.
