Residential School for my son who turned 15, last week
[edit]What do you know about ADHD/Bi-Polar/Learning Disabilities? My son was diagnosed at age 7. Bi-Polar Mom and other son. My son's grades this last school year are all F's...... Now a teen in MANIA. Last year was the first year we placed the ED Emotional Disturbed on him. To qualify for Adolescent Day Treatment. Was a great student but again receiving F's. This facility was 2.5 hours academic instruction the rest Mental Health. This last school year attending a Regular Middle School w/sibbling. Never a problem at school, but, failing academically and as of today has not attended school for past 4 weeks.
I feel that he is in Mania and involved in very risky/dangerous behavior. Staying out until 4:00 AM Smoking Drinking Stealing Bumming
I work w/school they say call the police. police say call the school.
Bottom LINE.
They want my son to get in trouble w/the LAW and become a juvenile offender so that they (Juvenile Probation)
can take charge........ I call it passing the buck.
Meanwhile I can't get the much needed services my son needs. As the rate he is going, he will be dead this year.
A MOM, ADVOCATE for my Sons,
What to do?????? School gave him him a S/Emotional Test and said this year he is not ED Emotional Disturbed. Yet, my son's Psychiatrist say's he is..... I can be reached anytime at (559) 704-7893 Mother needs help!
I am a resource person who shares at every CAC Meeting every month. That would be a SELPA meeting. But, now I need help! ```` —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.182.48.167 (talk) 18:42, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
