A free hit
[edit]The article asserts "the penalty for this type of delivery is an immediate no-ball signal given by the umpire and a free hit (In t20s and ODIs)". What exactly is meant by "a free hit"? --Tagishsimon (talk) 23:49, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

[edit]I don't think sportskeeda is a WP:RS, given it relies heavily on WP:UGC. Spike 'em (talk) 10:54, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
- You're probably right, but the content added, about beamers often slipping out of the hand when a yorker is being attempted is accurate. In general, this whole article could do with a go over. I'm sure it's actually an interesting enough topic to be able to create quite a decent quality article, but it just needs someone with the inclination to sit down and do it. - This is quite oddly written and seems to be in need of a bit of a re-write - the Selvey article is a good starting point, but I seem to recall reading something about Charlie Blythe deliberately bowling the odd beamer back pre-1914. There's got to be a more precise way to write the thing - the use of "worse..." in the lead paragraph, for example, seems to be judging rather too much. - I've got a few books at home that might have some useful stuff, and I'll try to have a look, but honestly I'm great at starting to looks at things but awful at finishing anything. Harrias talk 10:59, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
