Requested move 10 March 2019
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. The result of the move request was: No consensus for any moves at this time. If an alternative proposal, or one covering only the Low Islets, can be agreed then feel free to pursue that as a separate RM. — Amakuru (talk) 09:22, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
– For Bird Island (Tasmania) there is also Bird Island (Prime Seal Group). For Low Islets (Tasmania) there is also Low Islets (Prime Seal Group) but I'm not sure what the target should be since the Prime Seal Group is also part of the Furneaux Group. Although Low Islets only disambiguates 2 (both in Tasmania) there is also one in Queensland[1]. - Support first move and move second to Low Islets (Passage Group). --Danski454 (talk) 18:01, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
- Agree that makes sense. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:32, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Bemused. Weird. Lacking rationale. There is no North West Tasmania. Even decapitalised, places are not named by their direction from where? Nothing wrong with the current title. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 21:14, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
- The problem is the existence of 2 places with the same name, both in the state of Tasmania (Bird Island (Tasmania)/Bird Island (Prime Seal Group) and Low Islets (Tasmania)/Low Islets (Prime Seal Group)). "North West Tasmania" was the best qualifier I could think of for the 1st one based on the existence of Category:North West Tasmania but you're welcome to suggest a better qualifier. Crouch, Swale (talk) 21:19, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
- Not really. Rename Bird Island (Prime Seal Group) to “rock”, but leave the island alone. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 21:46, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
