Requested move 21 June 2018

The result of the move request was: move the page to Black people in Liverpool at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 16:46, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
Blacks in Liverpool → Black British people in Liverpool – The title is confusing, suggesting a connection with Blacks, which it has no connection with - the title should relate to Black British and Black people. I would move this page, but would rather gain consensus for a page move first. Chelston-temp-1 (talk) 09:37, 21 June 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 00:15, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
- I would actually Support renaming the current article to Ethnic groups in Liverpool instead and make it a sub-section, to be consistent with the existing Ethnic groups in London article. The article is currently a redirect to Demography of Liverpool and renaming to this would allow for a broader article. The current Blacks in Liverpool article is quite short anyway so making it more general for ethnic groups would not bloat it too much. Bungle (talk • contribs) 20:16, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment. Black people in Liverpool would actually be better than Black British people in Liverpool. If they're in Liverpool then they're obviously British! It's not like African-American, where the full term is always used. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:28, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support moving to Black people in Liverpool for Necrothesp's reasons. I would also rewrite the lead to say "black people" instead of "blacks". jamacfarlane (talk) 11:58, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
- Q: What if they are black, but not british? —usernamekiran(talk) 21:23, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- Then they're not the subject of the article. The article is about the established community, not tourists. --Ahecht (TALK
PAGE) 21:49, 12 July 2018 (UTC)- But what about black people who have residency but are not citizens and thus not British by the normal use of the word? — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 09:07, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
- I would support moving to "Black people born in Liverpool" to get around the issue of immigrants and tourists, but it's hardly concise. jamacfarlane (talk) 00:34, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

- Support moving to Black people in Liverpool per above. @Bungle:, after this is over, you might want to do a separate move request for a hypothetical "Ethnic groups in Liverpool". Paintspot Infez (talk) 22:45, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
