Primary sources

[edit]

@SashankaChutia: Could you please look for alternative non-primary sources? Using primary sources, such as the Buranjis that you have used here, are not allowed and what you have inserted here and other places might be challenged and deleted. The relevant policy is given here: WP:RSPRIMARY. Chaipau (talk) 11:16, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The translated work of Gopal Chandra Barua is itself a secondary source. Primary source will include original non-translated manuscripts. SashankaChutia (talk) 12:50, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think translated works are considered secondary sources, at least in this case. Furthermore, it is immaterial whether the local ruler of Habung was a Chutia or not in the context of the office of Borpatrogohain. Chaipau (talk) 13:05, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The cheif was a Chutia as clearly mentioned in the Deodhai Buranji. It is further mentioned in Assam Buranji(SK) as well which I have added. Furthermore, it is not explicitly mentioned that primary sources are not allowed in Wikipedia. I quote, " Primary sources are often difficult to use appropriately. Although they can be both reliable and useful in certain situations, they must be used with caution in order to avoid original research. Although specific facts may be taken from primary sources, secondary sources that present the same material are preferred.". — Preceding unsigned comment added by SashankaChutia (talkcontribs) 13:29, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You Mr. Chutia, please don't try to interfere our history.Keep writing if you have anything write from your Chutia Buranji. Chow Seng Lung (talk) 04:01, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Borpatrogohain

[edit]

Content of this page is wrong. The older version has been changed and manipulated. If you do not believe me go and check on google. Despite of my attempt to insert valid facts, the admins are deleting it. This might hurt the sentiments of Borpatrogohain's descendants. He is an Ahom Prince. 11Anonymous1122 (talk) 23:18, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes you are right. This chutias have no right to manipulate our history. They all are doing nothing but just trying to hijack ours. as they had nothing to show. They should know that during the reign of Chowpha Suhungmung the term Borpatra Gohain term was not used but chow seng lung instead.
