Wiki's civil war
[edit]Currently, a debate is taking place here about the use of images in the Infoboxes for episodes, and their purpose. Feel free to weigh in on the issue, but I have a feeling the "powers that be" will rule that images for episode articles, which I use for a key scene from each episode, may be unnecessary. There are a thousands of episode articles with images on Wikipedia, but this week, one of mine got targeted. Should the one in question be deleted, I may remove them all from each of the HoW episode articles (since I was the one who created and put them there). NOTE: This does not mean the main series article's image. Again, feel free to weigh in on the issue here. Thanks. — Wyliepedia (talk) 15:44, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: page moved without changing the blacklist. mabdul 10:26, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Bread and Circuses (Hell On Wheels TV Series) → Bread and Circuses (Hell on Wheels) – While I know that any title with "on wheels" or some variation is on the blacklist, there is a TV show called Hell on Wheels currently airing on AMC. We also have an article dedicated to that particular series — Hell on Wheels (TV series). When I originally created the Bread and Circuses article, I wanted to differentiate between it and the other titles with that name. I just made it too long, in hindsight. I would simply like to "move" it to shorten it and I have no deviousness behind the move nor the new title. Thanks. — WylieCoyote (talk) 12:39, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- Move to Bread and Circuses (episode). The disambiguator should be a category, like "(film)", "(book)", or "(album)". Kauffner (talk) 13:43, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
- Kauffner, thanks for the vote but shouldn't a TV series episode article have the TV series name in it, to discern it from the Star Trek series and HoW and any future ones? That's why my original article title had all that in it. I just want to shorten it. It would already be changed but Wiki flags the term "on wheels." — WylieCoyote (talk) 17:01, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
- The disambiguator should be "the generic class...that includes the topic, as in Mercury (element), Seal (mammal)". See WP:NCDAB. Kauffner (talk) 00:39, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, what if there are several different TV shows with a Bread of Circuses episode? See here. — WylieCoyote (talk) 18:09, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Support. (Hell on Wheels) is the correct qualifier per WP:NC-TV#Disambiguation. -- JHunterJ (talk) 20:18, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
Actually, if someone, anyone, would fix the MediaWiki:Titleblacklist "Attack Titles" to somehow allow "Hell on Wheels" to be in an article title, which under proper formatting IS allowed, this wouldn't be an issue. — WylieCoyote (talk) 03:07, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
