Introduction
[edit]"The Hill" is actually not a fictious neighbourhood, the Caffees live on Carpenter Street which is actually located in Providence's Federal Hill neighbourhood. Federal Hill, north of Broadway is predominantly Italian-American, however south of Broadway Irish-Americans are the majority. "The Hill" is the most common method of describing the Federal Hill neighbourhood by Providence residents, Providence's other hills are more commonly called by their full names, ie Smith Hill, College Hill, etc. Dhallam401 18:12, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Episode #1
[edit]The text at the end of this entry seems out of place - "Samyutta Nikaya {...} a book of the Hindu Advaita Vedanta philosophy." - does anyone know if this is relevent or should be deleted?
--Zimbob 02:06, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Episode #7
[edit]The title of episode #7 is unknown. Both IMDB and TvTome don't list a title for the episode 7, and so I've listed that here. If you know better, please provide a reference. -- Mikeblas 02:36, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
The official website at Showtime lists episode #7 as "Genesis 27:39". -- Bean, 16 August
- yeah, that's what my TiVo guide says, too. I'm glad we've finally got the name in! -- Mikeblas 03:12, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Expansion
[edit]I'm trying to expand this any helpo wouild be appreciated. Aaron Bowen 11:06, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Removed trivia
[edit]I removed the following trivia: In Providence, there are several historic neighborhoods that can be referred to as "the hill" by locals including Federal Hill, known for its Italian-American culture, Smith Hill and College Hill. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Aaron Bowen (talk • contribs) 14:49, 15 April 2007 (UTC).
- Re-insert it if you can out into a context. Aaron Bowen 14:50, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
International Broadcasters References
[edit]This was marked as needing references. I added the Japan info before I had an account. The Japan Fox Crime schedule (in English) can be found: http://www.foxcrime.jp/schedule/crime_e0706.pdf. It doesn't indicate that it is the series premiere (although it was). I'm too n00b to know how to add this to the main article.Ushimitsudoki 14:36, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

writing tag
[edit]I think the article needs some work in its writing style - too many short, choppy sentences, not enough development. Amonhg other things, the synopses could be more developed, and the characters discussed in more depth, rather than just a list of the actors and the character names. Also, why is there no separate article on Tommy? He's second lead - certainly needs one. It's a good start, but would like to see it improved, to bring it up to good article status. The new season is about to begin, and is excellent (I've seen the first few episodes) - I think we may get some traffic here. The tag is only there to attract some attention to the problem, and perhaps get some more editors involved in this set of articles. Apologies to anyone who took offense at the tag - it was intended only to help. Tvoz |talk 19:17, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Proposed move
[edit]- It's 2008 and Brotherhood (2006 TV series) is still on the air. I propose that the article should be moved to Brotherhood (Showtime TV series) Riphamilton (talk) 05:15, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- Brotherhood (2006 TV series) → Brotherhood (TV series) — The move was proposed on talk page for months; no disagreement. First, the current title is inaccurate; as the series is still active and has had three full seasons (2006-08). there is a Brotherhood (2002 TV series), but that simply redirects to Brotherhood (Singapore TV series). That series aired in Singapore, but that article is less than a full paragraph, and does not have an alternative version (i.e. Mandarin) - which shows that it does not have nearly the notability of this show, and makes it appropriate for this 3-season network program to occupy the "Brotherhood (TV Series)" title. A simple notation of 'For the 2002 Chinese TV series, see Brotherhood (2002 TV series) at the top of the moved page would eliminate any confusion, without the need for a disambiguation page. — Riphamilton (talk) 04:10, 19 February 2009 (UTC) Riphamilton (talk) 04:10, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- Move to Brotherhood (U.S. TV series). Current page name is clearly inappropriate. Once disambiguation is in effect, there is no concept of "primary topic"; Brotherhood (TV series) is ambiguous with Brotherhood (Singapore TV series), so this page needs a different disambiguator, regardless of their relative significance. Brotherhood (TV series) should point to the dismbiguation page Brotherhood. (if my suggested disambiguator is disliked, I will consider any factually accurate disambiguator that distinguishes this series from the Singapore one) --Rogerb67 (talk) 22:26, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
- Is there still a feeling this page should be moved? While Brotherhood (U.S. TV series) is still my preferred destination, I'm happy to consider any other title that describes the series and disambiguates from Brotherhood (Singapore TV series), if it permits consensus. Having said that, I'm not really very keen on Brotherhood (Showtime TV series); the show may become associated with some other company, but it's never likely to lose its U.S. identity. As a minor point, using the country of origin also makes for better symmetry in disambiguation. --Rogerb67 (talk) 00:00, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
